The Bite of the Mango by Mariatu Kamara with Susan McClelland
I like the poetic format of Fishtailing. This book invokes a lot of questions especially on how adults view teens' talents and their expression of themselves.
Fishingtail is a book that's easy to read and has a compelling plot as you read the poetic words. My only frustration would seem that the teachers in the story weren't very understanding!
I have finished reading Blood Red Road. It was an amazing book, the plot was intense and i couldn't put it down. I loved the characters and i was able to connect with them easily. I'd honestly recommend this book to anyone!
I had previously read the Gathering and Ilove the fantasy genre written by Mrs.Armstrong. Maya proves to be a strong character and you become easily attached wondering how things will unveil. I especially love the cliffer type ending. I for one will read the next book in the trilogy and I recommend to anyone else who likes a good fantasy.
